Foundations of faith
As a Presbyterian church, we hold to the historic confessional documents of the Reformed tradition. These catechisms and confessions of faith help us understand and pass on the core truths of the Christian faith, grounded in Holy Scripture.
The Apostles' Creed
We confess the Apostles' Creed as the statement of our faith — it is the ground we stand on in our ministry:
I believe in You, God the Father Almighty, Creator of the universe. I believe in Your only begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary, put to death under Pontius Pilate and crucified on the cross, who rose again on the third day and ascended into heaven. He is seated at the right hand of the Almighty Lord. He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, I believe in the holy universal Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Amen.
